NORTH ADAMS -- The Pittsfield 15-and-under All Stars swept to a pair of victories in the Berkshire County Babe Ruth Tournament, defeating Southern Berkshire 20-0 and Adams 13-0.
Both games were played at Joe Wolfe Field.
Pittsfield got a no-hitter from three pitchers in the five-inning win over South Berkshire. Devon Johnston (two innings), Joey Dewey (two innings) and Kevin Donati (one inning) were the three hurlers for Pittsfield.
Mitch Clary had three of Pittsfield's 19 hits, while Dom Traversa had two hits and three RBI. Johnston picked up the win.
In the victory over Adams, Bob New (3 innings), Dewey (2) and Donati (1) combined for a two-hitter Donati had three hits and two RBI, Clary had 3 hits, including a triple and an RBI, and Chad Shade and Johnston had two hits each for the winners.

Pittsfield 14, Adams 10
PITTSFIELD -- Kevin Squires was 4 for 5 with 6 RBI, including a two-run homer in the first, as Pittsfield got offensive production out of a lot of bats Friday in its opener.
Brandon Perry and Alex Weber were each 5 for 5 for the victors, with Perry a homer short of the cycle. Danny Carroll was 2 for 3 with three RBI, while Austin Houghtaling was 3 for 4.
Chris Tracy earned the win on the mound, striking out six Adams batters in four innings, scattering two earned runs.
Pittsfield (1-0) plays North Adams (1-0) at noon today at Deming. Adams falls to

North Adams 8, Holyoke 7
HOLYOKE -- Tyler Palmer came home on a Brett Clements groundout in the top of the ninth to lift the SteepleCats to a wild win.
Palmer reached on a walk in the ninth before moving to third on a groundout and a walk that loaded the bases. His run completed a monster comeback for North Adams, which trailed 7-1 after two when the Blue Sox plated seven in the second. The SteepleCats responded with four in the fourth, keyed by a Palmer two-run double. They tied the game in the seventh on a two-run single from Clements.
Clements finished with three RBI while Palmer drove in two. Matt Longfield got the win, allowing just one hit over 11 3 innings.

Nashua 3, Pittsfield 2
NASHUA, N.H. -- The Suns pulled within a run in the eighth inning, but couldn't complete the rally.
Pittsfield dug a hole in the first when it surrendered three runs off four hits in the first. That erased an early 1-0 lead created when Rob McLam scored on an error in the top of the first.
The Suns just had four hits the rest of the way, two of them coming in the eighth. That's when Ryan Deitrich and Brendan Slattery singled before Jimmy Ricoy came home on a bases-loaded walk. Pittsfield stranded nine baserunners.
Michael RoBards took the loss, giving up nine hits and three runs over six innings.
