Food and the City | Food & Lifestyle Blog: BBQ Chicken Pizza

Welcome to another chapter of "I found my new favorite thing to eat".

Remember when I told you how indecisive I am? I wasn't toying with you. In the last month I've posted 3 totally separate recipes (here, here, and here), in which I claim for it to be my new favorite thing ever. Like, how is that even possible? I'm pretty much the poster child for the word annoying.

But really, BBQ Chicken Pizza? Um wow. I never thought I'd enjoy this. Which also makes no sense because I love BBQ everything and pizza is practically my middle name, so yea. Why I was so ew about it at first, I'll never know. What I'm trying to say here is that you just really need to make it.

Oh and this is now Mr. D's new favorite thing to eat ever. It was his birthday the other day, and I probably could have just wrapped
up 4 pies of this and called it a day. We've been consuming a lot of?

BBQ Chicken Pizza lately, if you can't tell.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

1lb Pizza Dough
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
1 cup Cooked Chicken, diced (I used leftover breaded chicken cutlets)
1/2 cup BBQ Sauce
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
1 small Onion, diced
3 Basil Leaves, diced for garnish

Preheat your oven to 400.
Roll out your pizza dough onto a greased baking sheet. Spoon on your olive oil and spread it around with your fingers. Add 3/4 your amount of BBQ sauce on top of the dough and spread evenly to cover. Sprinkle on half of your mozzarella cheese. Top with chicken, onion, and remaining BBQ sauce. Add on your remaining cheese as well as your basil leaves.

Cook in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until dough is golden and cheese is melted. Enjoy!
