Mcintosh vs. Tru.... Decisions, decisions! - DIYMA Car Audio Forum

Ok, the game plan has been Mcintosh mc443m for sub duty and an mc440 for 3 way front. I also have an mc420m, which is a better aesthetic match to the 443.

Now I come across a Tru t-03 4.150 and am debating it's use for midbass & using the 420 for mid/highs. I've heard good things about the Tru amps, especially the billet's, but haven't actually listened to one. I won't lie- the visual and form factor of the t-03/billet series is appealing to be as well. I would sell the mc440, so The cost difference is negligible, once installation of another amp is factored in.

Anyone want to weigh in? What would you do?

Sub- w15gti infinite baffle
Midbass- either HAT l6v1 (or pair per side) or sls 6.5's (either pair or quad)
Midrange- L4
Tweeter- L1pro's
